London: Jermyn Street, Bubbles, and a 10K

July 2026

I had an appointment at my barber’s in Jermyn Street. While in town, I was both entertained and hindered by the annual Saucony London 10K, run in heat that Londoners found unbearable — many participants had to be treated by paramedics. Also on my list were two new restaurants: The India, an Indian restaurant in the City, and Tigermilk at Tottenham Court Road, a Mexican fusion place. I rounded things off with a coupe de champagne at Maison François in Duke Street. All enjoyable, and none too expensive — well, except the bubbly! Picture left shows Isaac Newton’s residence in Jermyn Street right next to my Barber.
